Hunter Blalock is an American songwriter from the hills of North-West Georgia. Hunter never fears uncomfortable subjects while writing songs & presents his real uncensored view of the world & himself.
Hunter's writing style is something all his own as he blends styles of country, blues, & rock n roll to create a sound that places him in the genre of Americana. His influences range from Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell, & American Aquarium to The Band, Townes Van Zant, & Many more.
Hunter started his career as the frontman for southern soul-rock band Whiskey Dixie in 2014. Since then, he has embarked on a few small solo tours with the company of fellow songwriters like Tim Moore, Arlo McKinley & more covering the Southeast & Midwest regions of the US. Officially coming out solo in late 2018, Hunter plans to record & release a debut solo record by mid 2019.

Brian Cain from the Oakhouse in Canton Ga

This special edition of the Georgia Songbirds features Brian Cain. If you don't know Brian you should. He's the chief operator of the Oakhouse in Canton. The Oakhouse has become a staple for not only the artists of north Georgia but also a playground for like minded entrepreneurs and a think tank for charity ideas that serve the Cherokee County area. We touch a little bit on the history of the Oakhouse in this episode but also the good that it brings to the community. Brian may not play an instrument but I would hate to see the shape of the music scene here in Cherokee County if not for him and the guys responsible for the Oakhouse

Trevor Startt live from The Oakhouse in Canton Ga

Trevor Startt is a singer-songwriter hailing from Kennesaw, GA. Raised on music ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Motown, “eclectic” is a good word to describe Trevor’s sonic sensibility. Some of his earliest memories of listening to music include hearing songwriters like Bruce Hornsby, Mary Chapin Carpenter & Dan Fogelberg while riding in the passenger seat of his dad’s 1985 Honda Accord. This foundation greatly influences Trevor’s original music along with his vast catalog of cover songs. Trevor has released two new singles in 2019, beginning with “All On Me” in March & “What We Got” in July. You can catch Trevor every weekend at various venues all across Metro Atlanta.

Highbeams are a trio of brothers that play emotive, high energy Folk Rock. Since their first show on New Years Eve 2012, the band has captured audiences all over the Southeast with their warm, personable stage presence and rich three-part harmonies. Highbeams have traveled all over the U.S. performing hundreds of shows every year; including opening slots for acts like Vertical Horizon, Chase Bryant, Col Bruce Hampton, and the Grammy nominated duo, Brothers Osborne.
The band constantly adds to their extensive body of work, all released through their own record label: Blanket Fort. Today the band continues to tour behind their newest album, Keep Meaning It, and persists in making the most out of every opportunity to share their dream with the world.

​Reid Stevens is an American record producer, singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, based out of Atlanta, GA. With degrees in Media Arts and Business from the University of South Carolina, Stevens founded the music production & promotion label, 33 1/3 Records, in 1999, to serve as a platform for releasing his work as a producer and songwriter. Since its inception, 33 1/3 Records has evolved into an agency that not only produces music, but also operates as a platform for exposure for artists and bands.
​Stevens recently produced Step Inside for 33 1/3 Records as well as singles, EPs, compilations & albums for artists & bands. Stevens has also been featured in the "At Home for Christmas" series, a global charity relief project assisting St. Jude's and Project Half Way based out of Myrtle Beach, SC featuring top national acts and recording artists for iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, wrote a jingle for an iPhone/Android app, had original songs "Dream" chosen as Dave FM's new music seminar, "Welcome To The Universe" chosen for UPN/WB television series & created music for AllTwang TV Music Web Series, performed original Songs, "Sunrise" & "Going Back To Old Days" for Comcast Artist On Demand Music Series, participated in CBS Competition series "Rockstar" (INXS & Supernova) judged by creators/ producers of hit television series Survivor and has performed alongside #1 multi-hit songwriters.

Mark Grundhoefer CD Release East Coast Collective Volume 2

For over 25 years, guitarist Mark Grundhoefer has been a professional musician playing in numerous bands, devoting countless hours of session work, and developing a full-time teaching studio. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he continues to perform, record, and educate. His solo music, which is available on all digital platforms, has been streamed over 1 million times in 65 countries. Mark's sound is a reflection of his southern roots and his classical and jazz studies. He has been compared to many of his own inspirations, such as Pat Metheny, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson and Steve Howe, among others.

It's 20 years in the making as I take the next steps in my musical path I thought I would release what I used to sound like. I've have grown so much in 20 years. I have found my style, my confidence, and my joy for it. This podcast of the album release is with me talking about the songs and what inspired them.
