Jake is a singer-songwriter from North Georgia he has opened for Brett young, been on stage 2 times with Craig Campbell, played at the super bowl concert 2019 in Atlanta and plays regularly around the state. Jake was inspired by the likes of Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Randy Travis and definitely fits into that old troubadour style. So listen as we talk life, family, music and more. Miles Landrum live from the Oakhouse in Canton Ga

"For me songwriting and music in general is my way of being honest with myself. Maybe the music softens the blow, or maybe it's easier to be lost in thought chasing an idea, but I find that when I start to pull back and listen to what I've written I've unearthed some truth about myself that I would not have been brave enough to admit any other way."
Miles Landrum was born and raised in Adairsville, Georgia. Growing up in a small town left an indelible impression on his life. He jokes that he didn't listen to anything beyond contemporary christian music until he was eighteen, and that it took him until his late twenties to familiarize himself with the Beatles.
"I would go to these open jams in Atlanta and somebody would say something like 'yeah let's  play some CCR or The Band' and I'd be like... Who?"
Miles picked up playing bass early in his career, and after graduating high school he started down a path that would take him through many different bands and genres. From original bands and touring acts to local and cover bands.
"I feel like I’ve played a little bit of everything with a little bit of everyone, but thinking back I feel like I was happiest playing in indie/emo groups right when I first started."
After many years spent "chasing the dream" as he puts it, Miles became lost and disenchanted with music, bringing any and all musical efforts to a close in his life.
"Honestly I was in a bad place in my life in general. I sold all of my gear and for the first time ever I completely excised music. I didn't see a path forward. I didn't fully realize it, but I suffered greatly from it's absence."
Miles says he had been part of the creative process in writing in the past, but had always done it out of necessity.
"IT FEELS LIKE THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO!"
One day while randomly picking at a guitar a song began to form. An ember, Miles gave the song time to breathe and only cautiously came back to it for fear that he couldn't finish properly. In time, he completed it.
"For the first time I didn't look at something I had created and focus on it's imperfections. I let it speak to me, and in doing so I discovered something that had been missing from my music from the very beginning. Meaning."
Miles has since written many more songs. After years searching for his destination he has started to find what he was looking for all along.
"At some point in my life for one reason or the other i just started doing things without a purpose. I did things because people told me to, or because I saw other people doing them. After I stopped focusing on a goal defined by God knows who or what I was able to focus on my process, and that has changed me more than I can say. I still don't know where I am going, but the way there is a of a lot of fun"

Jonathan Peyton live from The Oakhouse in Canton Ga

“My love of music started back in the days when Dad took us kids for a ride in the car and introduced us to the stories Merle Haggard told through his music. That love has never died.” Jonathan Peyton often reminisces about how music became his passion. A singer/songwriter from Woodstock, Georgia. Peyton often writes emotion-evoking pieces from personal life experience. “Writing music has become a way of processing through life and relating to others and their stories.”
Jonathan released his first full length album, Waters Below, in March of 2016. The release of his EP, Where Do We Stand, followed not long after in March of 2018. His most recent single, Without You, was released December 2019. Peyton has won several music competitions including the Undiscovered Artist Series at Mad Life Stage and Studios in Woodstock, Georgia in 2017 as well as the annual Open Mic Shoot-Out at the Red Clay Music Foundry in Duluth, Georgia, hosted by the legendary Eddie Owen. He closed out the year by opening for Merle Haggard’s sons, Ben and Noel Haggard. He is currently writing more music with the intent of producing another full length album

Music Authority's Eclipse is a featured group of talented students from Music Authority (a music school, located in Cumming, GA) and currently, under the direction of instructor Melissa Loggins, features Sashu Machani (vocals), Savannah Hughes (guitar/vocals), Nicholas Lopez (guitar), Jackson Warren (bass), and Dominic Perez (drums). 
​Eclipse is a student All-Star band that is designed to give outstanding students an opportunity to experience many facets of the music industry while performing in a gigging band.

Barb Carbon is a folk/roots-rock musical artist from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She performs as a solo act, as well as with her musical partner, Arrie Bozeman, in the band The Ain’t Sisters. Carbon’s influences are rooted in the beautifully raw, gritty sounds of Shovels and Rope, The Avett Brothers, and Lucinda Williams, and the earnest, inspired songwriting of Patty Griffin, The Indigo Girls, and Brandi Carlile, among others. 
Barb makes music that is as accessible as it is personal. A masterful poet, Carbon is able to strip away the layers of her own experience, exposing the nerve and laying her finger on the emotional essence of our shared struggles and hopes. 
Boldy exploring genres, she delivers her art dressed with a punk rock edge, an alt-country drawl, or the trappings of kick drum-driven Americana, but at the core of her diverse catalogue beats the heart of folk music, which has always existed for the same reason - to tell our truth. 
Marrow, the debut release from The Ain’t Sisters was released November 23, 2018. Her solo debut, The Fighter, arrives September 20, 2019.

My name is Debra Lynn Rodriguez and I am a soul singer, a storyteller, and a stargazer. I am tattooed, often barefoot, and was raised singing in the hills of Appalachia. As a singer, I draw from a deep well of musical tradition. My earliest memories are of singing at my mama’s piano, tambourine in hand. I am heavily influenced by blues, gospel, folk, and rock and roll. It’s those roots along with my own experiences, life in community, and chasing the Big Mystery which most inspire my songwriting. 
 
As a worship leader, I care deeply that worship is about more than a routine visit to temple or synagogue or church, but is a lifestyle which employs and influences every aspect of our human experience. I intentionally engage diverse communities to explore how faith and worship intersect everyday life. I love to witness as people discover faith and spirituality through authentic and personal experiences and I work to help facilitate the opportunity for those discoveries.
 
Since 2011, I've served as Pastor of Worship and Director of Arts at The Gathering Place Atlanta (lgbtchurch.com) and you can find me leading worship in all kinds of places - people's homes, on a sidewalk, in the woods, even live on Facebook! In 2016, I started a little project called Glory Tribe, a rag-tag gathering of Mystery-seekers from all over the world. We gather weekly to consider and re-envision our ideas and approaches to worship and community. We've embarked on a journey together to learn and teach the art of living worship. I think it's going pretty well.

I released my first full-length album of original music in 2015, a second live album in 2018, and am currently cozying up to a brand new batch of Appalachian Soul tunes for a studio record later this year.

Jennifer Barger live from the ”Bird’s Nest”

Ever since she was a toddler, Jennifer sang and danced around the house with her siblings daily. Her mom says "she sang before she talked and danced before she walked".  There has always been a spark and love for music in her heart.  Now, being able to learn piano, guitar and ukulele, and learn how to use her voice, she has been writing more original music for her solo gig as Jennifer Barger (@jenniferbargermusic)!
 
In 2016 she and her sister competed in a local GA competition at which the sister duo "Jenny & Sky" was born. They made it to the finals at the Madlife Stage & Studios "Undiscovered Artists Showcase" (2016-2017), and through that met some amazing people and musicians!  Jenny & Sky performed locally in North GA/Atl area from 2016 till spring 2019 and recorded an EP ("Nonsense" by Jenny & Sky) and were honored to work with amazing artists such as Kate Coleman, Highbeams, and opened for Irish singer-songwriter Keith Harkin.  Since May 2019 (after Sky's wedding and move over seas), Jennifer has performed solo and has continued collaborating and working with talented local artists such as Jonathan Peyton, Danny Brewer, again with Kate Coleman and Highbeams, and others!
 
Now, fall 2019, she is in the studio recording a lullaby album, and also hosting a new video series called "The Tiny House Sessions" (@thetinyhousesessions) which is an opportunity for local artists to work on music collaborations and share their original music and upcoming projects with the world! 
The road has seemed uncertain at times, but with God's help and the encouragement of her family and friends, she is ready to share the true love, joy and passion she has for music with others.  Thank you for joining her journey!  Hope you enjoy the ride.

Garrett Wheeler live from ”The Bird’s Nest”

Garrett Wheeler is a soon to be 17 year old (Nov 13th) , singer/ songwriter, roots, musician based out of Kennesaw, Ga. Playing music full time for two years between Georgia and Florida. He has performed at venues such as Eddie's Attic, Smith's Olde Bar, The Vinyl (Centerstage), Gustons in Woodstock & Acworth, Sixes Tavern and many others in the Atlanta area. He has released two singles which are available now and is currently working on his debut album (lp) at Darkhorse Stuidos in Cartersville, Ga. Garrett is a senior at Kennesaw Mountain High School and a full time student at Kennesaw State University participating in the duel enrollment program. Garrett brings to any stage a full energy and engaging show, showing experience beyond his years. He's music is more of a mix of country and americana. He's available for solo shows, opening for bands to private parties. The artist he covers are Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard to Tom Petty, The Eagles to Bob Dylan.
